This Certificate II traineeship will give you the base level skills, knowledge and competencies required to work in an engineering workshop or factory.
As well as acquiring basic trade skills such as machining, fabrication and using hand and power tools, you will also develop a sound knowledge of workplace communication, occupational health and safety, quality procedures and industry specific production processes.
Trainees will primarily be engaged in the set up and operation of:

- foundry processes and automatic moulding equipment and furnace operations

This trade qualification - Certificate III in Meat Processing (Meat Retailing) - is recognised Australia-wide by independent retailers and supermarkets.
During this Certificate III apprenticeship you will develop an understanding of the work practices in retail meat enterprises in relation to health, safety, hygiene, quality and productivity.
You will also learn how to prepare, package and merchandise a range of meat products including primal and specialist cuts. This includes training in processing beef, lamb, pork, veal and chicken into customer ready cuts for consumption, as well as training in the manufacture of value-added and smallgoods products.
The course has a strong focus on food hygiene, OHS, customer service and personal development.
Once you have gained this trade qualification, you will have the opportunity to progress to management positions and add leadership skills to your qualifications.

The Certificate III in Transport and Logistics course is a follow-on from the Certificate II traineeship.
You will learn how to receive, handle and despatch goods coming into, or going out of stores or warehouses as well as pick, pack and stow stock and operate equipment such as forklifts and order pickers. You will also learn how to use inventory systems to conduct stock counts and apply product knowledge to organise receivables and dispatches.
You may like to specialise in receiving, despatch or products (for example dangerous goods).
